Sometimes, I write these posts with the author as the main subject and in others I write the book that I had just read as the main subject. In Richard Rodrigues post, it had to be him first as the main subject because he writes memoirs; but in others I have wondered whether or not it should be the book. Even as I started this post, I had not made up my mind how I was going to organize these posts. I think for now, I will do both. I will let the book speak for itself.

s, the magazine, does both itself. It reviews books and then does in depth articles about certain authors. It works for them. Bookmarks is my 
favorite magazine right now. My all time favorite magazine was Saturday Review which died out long ago. It introduced me to the concept of literature and poetry when I was just a youngster so many years ago in the mountains of California when I discovered that the mountains don't go forever but books do. I will always be grateful to Norman Cousins for that.
